- What do I do first?
After you sign up, the first thing you’ll want to do is add or create some goals. Then you can add entries to that goal. - How do I add a goal?
Click on a goal to view it, then select one of the green buttons: Doing it, Planning this, or Done this (if you’ve completed the goal). Now it’s yours and you can start adding entries to it. - Can I delete one of my goals?
Giving up already? You cannot delete goals presently. We suggest you mark a goal as complete, or just ignore it and add some new goals. - How do I add an entry?
You can add entries from your infobar (very top right, next to your profile link on the main site - not here on the blog), or from a goal page. Anywhere you see the orange “Create an Entry” link. - What should I put in an entry?
Share your experiences, or interesting information you’ve found on the Web. If you feel it’s helpful to you and/or others, then give it a go! There are several types of entries to choose from on the “Add Entry” screen. We like things quick and simple, so we created these types to make it easy for everyone to create really excellent entries. You can upload or link to photos, link to other Web sites, embed videos, post song dedications, and, of course, create regular text entries. - I just read I don’t like at all, who do I alert?
If you find an entry seriously offensive, you can click the “Inappropriate?” link on the entry’s page. If you don’t see this link, click on the entry’s headline. Fill out the form with the reason you find this entry offensive and submit it. An administrator will be alerted and take the appropriate action.Note that deleting posts is solely at the administrator’s discretion, and not all requests will result in removal of the entry in question.
These messages are not anonymous and abusing the system is sufficient grounds for a user to be banned from the site.
- I want to create an entry with an image and a link! Can I do that?
You can’t combine different entry types (’cause that would be complicated), but you can publish as many individual posts as you like. If you want to add something simple like a hyperlink to an image description (for example), see the advanced text formatting options below. - Are there any advanced text formatting options?
If you’re looking for a little extra pretty, we use a few Textile formatting tags you can use in any textarea, body or description field.- bold text by surrounding with asterisks: *bold* = bold
- underline text by surrounding with underscores: _italics_ = italics
